I play guitar and I’m really interested in drumming. I was wondering is a drum set necessary for taking drum lessons? Or would something like this be okay?

I’m just looking for something cheap to learn and I don’t want to spend 500 bucks to do so.
I was thinking about getting an electronic drum set for my boyfriend for Christmas but I don’t really know anything about them. I’ve noticed that a lot of the sets are over ,000 and I don’t want to spend that much. I found this one on the Best Buy website but I’m not sure if it would be any good

I’m looking for an electronic drum set, like, for at home playing, and maybe, for a garage band in the future. I don’t need a major amp. Looking for one in the 0-0 price range. Please, only honest answers. I don’t know how this would help, but, I’m 13, turning 14 in July. I would like a drum set with double bass pedals.
