OK, I’m looking to buy an electronic drumset, and I would to hear opinions on what’s a good deal, what brand is best to buy from, durability, usability etc. I assume all electronic drumsets can hook up to computers, or is that an extra feature only some have that I’ll have to look out for? Are there any special things that come with certain drumsets that are really helpful to have? Also, things that I should avoid when buying an electric drumset. Just any general knowledge of what makes a good electronic drumset, and what the best deal would be.

For instance, I like the Roland snares. They have rimshot ability and a real drum springback feel superiior to rubber pads. Must you have a Roland ‘brain’ or can the trigger be used with other ‘brains’?
