For instance, I like the Roland snares. They have rimshot ability and a real drum springback feel superiior to rubber pads. Must you have a Roland ‘brain’ or can the trigger be used with other ‘brains’?

It says it has an output for connecting other equipment. I’m new to drums, so what I’m wondering is would it work with connecting to a guitar amplifier if I want to record something out loud?
